Alan Schrom, Bear, is training on a complex P shaped, Schutzhund 3 track with minimal food on the track.

As the track was being laid, an article from a previous track was found, two feet to the side of the track.

Rather than remove the article, it was left as an additional challenge, to test his ability to discern old scent, which he should not lie down to indicate, from fresh scent, which he MUST indicate.

He did phenomenally well on the track.
